Carpet burns on my elbow

Haven't posted in a while, this means I'm not working hard enough.
I've finally started a piece of work that I like, although I'm now stuck, not really knowing where to go with it. Probably won't finish it this week as work is going to be manic and I somehow seem to have been offered a commision for a friend, which is good news.
Going back to uni on Monday next week, very exciting. It will be good to have some structure and set time to wake up in the morning, not really looking forward to remembering how good everyone else is and how rubbish I am but I'm sure that's what one should call healthy competativeness. Or something similar.

This isn't a current picture, but just thought I'd keep up the routine of sticking an image at the bottom of each post. This was a page of the Smudgeucated Optical project, which I was utterly determined to apply to a 'manifesto' uni brief.

Horizontal moving services. Carpet!? Well I never!

I am currently writing my first blog in my new house (Oh god, I've become one of those people who not only writes a blog, but acknowledges the fact that they write a blog. Geek out. M.N; there's no shame in paper. Don't (like)believe what you see)

In the past two days I have mostly enjoyed the fact that my spinach defrosted forcing me to cook it all, Rufus Wainwright and Antony & the Johnsons, the local fruit and veg shop, smoking at all hours of the day, the plan for making hanging flower baskets to tie to our stairs up to the front door, sleeping in a double bed, reading about Tom Waits and The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack. (Admittedly, the last point has been ongoing for a number of days)
